Vicki McMurray

Vicki Katherine (Sturm) McMurray, 64, of Pace passed away Tuesday March 15th 2016. Vicki was a native of Lawrenceburg, Indiana. She graduated from Depauw University in 1973 with a degree in Elementary Education. She received her Master’s Degree from Ball State University. She was a lifelong educator and active member of St. Christopher’s Episcopal Church. Vicki was a line dance instructor and enjoyed playing golf at Stonebrook Golf Club. She was also a member of Pensacola Newcomers and a friend to all. She was preceded in death by her grandmother, Katherine Gompf; grandfather, Arthur Gompf; mother, Rosemary Sturm; and father, Clyde Sturm. Vicki is survived by her husband of 42 years (June 23, 1973) and best friend Wayne McMurray; a son, Brian McMurray (Stacey) of St. Louis, Missouri; a daughter Ellie (Rob) Davis of Houston, TX; two grandchildren, Jackson & Lincoln Davis; and a brother, Michael (Jan) Patterson of Lawrenceburg, Indiana. Funeral Services will be held at 3:00 pm on Monday, March 21, 2016 at St. Christopher's Episcopal Church, 3200 North 12th Avenue, Pensacola, Florida, with Lewis Funeral Home directing.
