Leslie “Tiny” Jones, 51, of East Palatka, passed from this life on Tuesday, May 16, 2017 at her home following an extended illness. A native and lifelong resident of Palatka, she worked as office manager with a Research Company. Tiny had also co-owned and operated the East Palatka Fruit Market along with her late husband, George Currie. She enjoyed traveling and scuba diving. Tiny was everybody’s “go-to person”. If they needed anything, she was always putting others ahead of herself. She was preceded in death by her husband, George Currie, her parents, W. Coleman Jones, Jr. and Mary Odom Jones as well as a half-brother Coleman Jones, III. Tiny is survived by 4 brothers, David Jones, Ronald Jones, Russell Jones, Patrick O. Jones and Bo Jones, a sister, Rosemary Jones and numerous nieces, nephews and other family members. Visitation will be 3:00 – 4:00 Saturday, May 20, 2017 at Johnson-Overturf Funeral Home in Palatka. A celebration of Tiny’s life will be held immediately following at a family member’s home in Bardin.
