K. Michael Joyce, age 65, passed away at his home in Palatka, Florida on Saturday, September 23, 2017. He was born on November 22, 1951 in New York to the late Richard Joyce and the late Teresa Tice. He attended Hunterdon Central High School. He married Kathleen Cheponis on October 5, 2002. He worked as a contracts manager at John Valdes and Associates in St. Augustine, Florida. Michael was best known for his hard working attitude, his soft spot for animals and his love of joy-riding on his motorcycles. He is survived by his wife of 15 years, Kathleen Joyce, his daughter, Rachel (Scott) Abrom, his sons, Kevin (Jennifer) Joyce, Joshua Joyce, and Richard Joyce, his step-children, Michele Cheponis, Jason Cheponis, and Joseph Cheponis, his grandchildren, Melissa, Christopher, Michael-Paul, Kameron, Kassidy and Kira and a great-grandchild, Ethan.
