Francisco Nieves

Francisco Barbosa Nieves, 100, died on December 3, 2019, with his family and friends by his side in Port St. Lucie, Florida. Francisco, “Pachin”, was born on December 23, 1918 in Bayamon, Puerto Rico to his father, Jose Barbosa, and his mother, Santos Nieves. Pachin proudly served in the United States Army during WWII. He cared passionately about animals, loved spending time outdoors, and enjoyed listening to music. He will always be remembered for his outgoing and friendly personality by everyone who was blessed to have known him. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Carmen Aida Ortiz Rodriguez; daughter, Melissa Barbosa-Ortiz; and three grandchildren, Marian, Nahir and Franco Alvarado.
