Augusta Munroe Sarvis age 98 was granted his angel wings on July 2, 2019 in Tavares, Fl. His final days were spent surrounded by family and friends. Munroe the son of Thomas and Georgia Sarvis was born in Miami, FL on March 29, 1921. He served his Country honorably and nobly during World War II in the United States Marine Corps as a Sergeant in the South Pacific Theater. Munroe was united in marriage to Dotaileen Odom in Ft Lauderdale, FL on August 2, 1946. He was a master electrician, owning two electrical businesses, Sarvis Electric and Globe Electric in Fort Lauderdale Fl. Retiring in 1974 he and Dotaileen embarked on a new adventure in Aquone, NC where they built and rented cottages in their little piece of heaven called “Our Place”. In 1984 Munroe and Dotaileen returned to their home in Tavares, FL to be close to family. Surviving Munroe is two daughters, Peggi Cilio from Phenix City Alabama and Patti Williams (Bruce) Auburndale FL; son Glenn Sarvis (Karen) Tavares FL; brother J David Sarvis (Magdalene) Lake Wales FL; 13 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren; Munroe was preceded in death by his wife Dotaileen; son Frances Munroe (Skip).
