Elsie Wiley Jackson, 77, of Umatilla, FL passed away on Friday, September 22, 2017. She was born in Astatula, FL. She was a medical care giver. She attended the Church of God in Umatilla and was a volunteer for Lake County Action Agency and for the Lake County Meals on Wheels. She is survived by her husband of 12 years: J.B. Jackson, Umatilla, FL; sons: William Ray Melton, II, Mt. Dora, FL, James Ray Wiley, Jr., Starke, FL; daughter: Delores Miller, Mt. Dora, FL; sister: Lella Slaughter, South Bend, IN; 24 grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren; 32 great great grandchildren; step-son: J.O. Wiley, Eustis, FL; step-daughters: Rhonda Bourdon, Lake City, FL, Theresa Griesinger, Altoona, FL, and Stella Wiley, Altoona, FL. She was predeceased in death by her step-son: Steven Wiley; and her grandson: Jared Ray Melton. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 27, 2017 at the Beyers Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Larry Boone officiating. The interment will follow at Ponceannah Cemetery in Paisley, FL. The family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 26, 2017 at the Beyers Funeral Home Chapel.
