Emory C. Hickey, Jr., 85, of Umatilla passed away on Friday, September 22, 2017. He was born in Cleveland, TN. He was a heavy equipment operator for Lake County government, public works. He was a member of the Lighthouse Baptist Church. He is survived by his daughters: Karen Sue Pope (Larry Pitt), Umatilla, FL, Deborah H. (Barry) Goodwin, Umatilla, FL; son: Tony (Jo) Hickey, Altoona, FL; companion: Stanna Loyd, Umatilla, FL; brother: Johnny Hickey (Joyce), Cheraw, SC; sisters: Phyllis Wiley, Leesburg, FL, MaryLou Davey, Daytona Beach, FL; 8 grandchildren; and 8 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife: Christine Hickey. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 30, 2017 at the First Baptist Church of Umatilla with Chris Merrill officiating. The interment will follow at the Umatilla Cemetery Annex. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. on Friday, September 29, 2017 at the Beyers Funeral Home Chapel.
