Geraldine "Jeri" Kerr of Umatilla, surrounded by her family, went to be with the Lord and her sisters Sandy McMillan, Bobbie Ellison and Mother-in-law, Mina Kerr on the morning of April 6, 2017. Jeri was born on June 15, 1953 on a military base in Panama. She was the daughter of the late Gordon and Jean Houston. Raised in Eustis, Jeri later became a resident of Umatilla. She is survived by her husband: Dan Kerr; sons: Jess and Nick Kerr; granddaughter: Taylor Kerr; grandson: Nicholas Kerr; great granddaughter: Audrey; sister: Mary Torr; brothers: Clint and David Houston. Jeri was a court reporter for 36 years and served as Lake County's Offical court reporter for 28 years. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Umatilla. Jeri will forever be thought of as a strong, loving, family focused, selfless woman, that always put her family and those around her first. A celebration of life will be held on April 13, 2017 beginning at 11:00 AM at the First Baptist Church of Umatilla with a time of fellowship immediately following the service.
