Hannelore Lengemann, 85, of Altoona, FL passed away on Friday, July 19, 2019. She was born on March 14, 1934 in Kirchberg, Germany. Hannelore married Gerhard Lengemann on January 21, 1956. Growing up in war torn Germany and experiencing the difficult economic times later, she and her husband decided to immigrate to Canada in 1957. Their determination and commitment to each other helped them overcome many hardships. In 1962 they immigrated to Niles, Michigan, and founded G. Lengemann Company. In 1975 Hannelore and her family moved to Altoona, Florida. Hannelore was a very private person that masked a warm and generous heart for family and friends. She is survived by her daughter: Susan (Robert) Croft; son: Ralph (Elke) Lengemann; daughter: Heidi Estes; nephew: Gunter (Barbara) Lengemann; 7 grandchildren; and six great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her daughter: Angelika; son: Michael; and husband: Gerhard. The immediate family will have a private gathering at a later date.
