Mark Purvis, of Eustis, FL died on November 1, 2019 at age 56, due to complications from diabetes. Mark graduated from Eustis High School in May, 1980 and from Louisiana State University in May, 1983. He spent 30 years in Florida state government and a short time with the state of Texas. He was preceded in death by his adoptive mother: Ellen Purvis; and his two dogs: Gus and Annie. He is survived by his wife: Lidia Valenzuela Purvis of Orlando; two sons: Matthew Purvis and Todd Purvis of Tallahassee, FL; along with their mother: Elizabeth Oliver of Tallahassee, FL; his adoptive father: Henry Purvis of Umatilla, FL; and brother: Scott (Karen) Purvis of Umatilla, FL. He is also survived by his birth mother: Nancy Raysbrook of Steinhatchee, FL; siblings: Ann Treadway of Silver Springs, FL, Stacy McLeod Rider of Gainesville, FL, Douglas Hanning of Altamonte Springs, FL, and Lloyd Trushel of Seattle, WA. A private ceremony for family members will be held at a future date. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Hospice of Altamonte Springs.
