Nancy Penn-Shaner

Nancy Ann Penn-Shaner, 87, of Umatilla, passed away on Sunday, April 23, 2017. She was born in Akron, Ohio. She was a secretary, bookkeeper, and a long distance truck driver. She was a member of the Methodist church. She was a member of the order of the Eastern Star for 62 years, a member of the order of the Amaranth for 50 years, and served on the advisory board of the order of the Rainbow Girls. She was also a member of the Leesburg Women’s Business Club, a member of the Golden Triangle Bowling league, a member of the Lake County Conservation Council and a member of the Anna Miller Circle. She is survived by stepdaughters: Karen Lee Shaner, Indianapolis, IN, Marjorie Shaner, New Hamburg, NY; and 3 cousins. She was predeceased by her two husbands: Alvin Penn and Bill Shaner; and her companion: Anthony Sikorsky. She will be missed by her many friends and Lake County neighbors. A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m., Saturday, May 13, 2017 at the Beyers Funeral Home Chapel in Umatilla with Pastor Brooks Braswell officiating.
