Orlando, Florida-Lance Matthew "Matt" Whitten, age 38, of Orlando, was tragically taken from this world from being in the wrong place at the wrong time on November 25, 2013 in Orlando.
He was born on Jan. 9, 1975 in Prinebille, Oregon, son of Richard Lee and Joy (Strider) Whitten who reside in Florida. Matt was educated in Oregon and was the beloved fiance of Danielle Schwenke. He loved automobiles and keeping up on cars holding jobs in the auto repair industry. Matt will be forever missed by his entire family and friends.
Survivors include his fiance Danielle; his parents, Richard and Joy of Orlando; his children, Lance Tyler, Tiana Marie, Issac Logan, and Star Penelope; a brother, Carl B. Stovall of Arkansas; sister, Peggy Steinmetz of Titusville, FL; a brother, Kevin Stovall of Haines City, FL and was preceded in death by a sister, Laura Myers.
A viewing will take place at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 3001 S. Apopka Vineland Rd., Orlando, FL on Monday, Dec. 2, 2013 from 9-10 am. The funeral will commence at 10 am also at the church on Monday. Procession will follow to Woodlawn Cemetery, where he will be laid to rest.
