Mrs. Dorothy Reynolds Mercer, 90, of Albany, passed away Monday, July 3, 2017. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, July 5, 2017 at East Albany Church of God. Pastor Daniel Castor will officiate with interment to follow at Floral Memory Gardens. Born November 20, 1926 in Moultrie, Mrs. Mercer was the daughter of the late Charlie Franklin Reynolds and Effie Dixon Reynolds. She retired from Kmart and attended East Albany Church of God. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Mercer was preceded in death by two husbands, L. B. Kierce and Buddy Mercer. Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Laneva Nix and Bill of Florida; brothers, James Reynolds and Betty of Albany, Clarence Reynolds and Silvarine and J.C. Reynolds and Cloradine all of Columbus; special nieces, Joanne Bunn and Tommy of Albany and Tammy Lightfoot and Calvin of Leesburg; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends one hour before the service at the church and at other times at the home of Tammy and Calvin Lightfoot at 677 Creekside Dr. Leesburg, GA. 31763.
