Mrs. Janice Marie Morrell, 75, of Albany, passed away Thursday, July 13, 2017 at her home. Funeral services will be conducted at 3 p.m., Sunday, July 16, 2017 at Victory Tabernacle Assembly of God. Pastor Eddie Adams will officiate and interment will follow in the Pelham City Cemetery. Born May 4, 1942 in Alabama, Mrs. Morrell was the daughter of the late Arthur and Eunice Beasley Pearce. Soon after birth her family moved to Pelham where she grew up. She owned and operated, with her late husband, Morrell Mobile Homes of Albany. Her home was always open to her family and friends and she was known as Mama and Granny to many. Mrs. Morrell was a faithful member of Victory Tabernacle Assembly of God where she served in many ministries of the church. She was also very proud to be a member of Women’s AGLOW. “Her children rise up and call her blessed, because she was a loving mother who always put her children and family first and she will be truly missed.” In addition to her parents, Mrs. Morrell was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Jimmy Morrell and two brothers, Thomas and Harold Pearce. Survivors include her daughters and sons-in-law, Marsha Greene and Mark of Reynoldsville, Sheila Barfield of Albany, Shirl Wallace and Brian of Leesburg, Tscharna Damerow of Albany and Shaina Morrell of Albany; brother and sister-in-law, Jerry Pearce and Jackie of Vidalia; 9 grandchildren, Tony, Megan, Michele, Jana, Jamie, Jimi, Holli, Jaysi and Jack and 10 great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 5 until 7 Saturday, July 15, 2017 at Hall and Hall Funeral Home.
