Mr. Robert Lamar Hitt, Jr., 62, of Poulan, passed away Friday, February 10, 2017 at Willson Hospice House in Albany. Graveside funeral services will be conducted at 3:00 p.m., Sunday, February 12, 2017 at Deep Bottom Cemetery in Norman Park. Rev. Roy Carroll will officiate and the family will visit with friends following the service at the cemetery. Born February 19, 1954 in Albany, Mr. Hitt was the son of the late Robert Lamar Hitt, Sr. and Phoebe Woods. He worked as an auto mechanic for many years and loved NASCAR. He also enjoyed fishing and was of the Baptist Faith. In addition to his parents, Mr. Hitt was preceded in death by his sister, Shirley Davis. Survivors include his brothers and sister-in law, Buddy and Ginger Purvis of Albany and Daniel Purvis of Baconton; sisters, Jeanette Moore and Dorothy Thompson both of Norman Park and Linda Sands of Doerun.
