Ms. Alma Louise Pope, 63, of Cartersville died on Saturday, May 30, 2020 at Cartersville Medical Center. Born in Cartersville on May 7, 1957, she was the daughter of the late William Lester Peace and the late Betty Smith Peace. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Donnie Ray Pope, Sr. and her daughter Lisa Riseden. Ms. Pope enjoyed singing. She loved to watch the Andy Griffith show. She loved her dog “Grace” and loved to have company, especially family. She was a member of the True House of Deliverance Church and loved her church. Survivors include her children, Donnie Ray Pope, Jr. (Tiffany), Ronnie Pope (Cindy), Amanda Acree (Mike); twelve grandchildren; three great-grandchildren, with one on the way; her sisters, Anna Pope and Betty Peace; her brothers, Kenneth Peace and Tony Peace. Due to continuing Covid restrictions, a visitation limited to 25 people at a time and social distancing will be held at Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services from 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. Thursday, June 4, 2020. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, June 5, 2020 in Fellowship Baptist Cemetery with Reverend Sam Hooper and Reverend Annette Hooper officiating.
