Doris Damron

Mrs. Doris Damron, 81, of Cartersville, died on Saturday, November 16, 2019 at Assured Hospice Nursing Facility. Born July 27, 1938, she was the daughter of the late Dewey Byrum and Dorothy Byrum. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband Grady Puckett; her second husband Lloyd Damron; her sons, Robert Puckett, Mark Puckett, Alan Puckett; her brother,Dale Byrum; and her stepmother Ruth Byrum. Doris was of the Baptist faith and loved to read. She loved music and old movies. She enjoyed solving crossword puzzles, cooking and cleaning. Survivors include her sons, Glenn Puckett of Cartersville, Steve Puckett of Greensboro, Ga.; her daughters, Margaret Gregory of Athens, Ga., Beverly Mary of Grand Prairie, Tx., Mary Ann Damron of Cartersville, Kellie Damron of Cartersville; seven grandchildren; and her brother David Byrum of Villa Rica, Ga. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, November 21, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Parnick Jennings Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.
