Mr. Jack Cantrell, 77, of Kingston passed away on Saturday, March 20, 2021 surrounded by family in Cartersville. Born on November 6, 1943, in Mt. Airy, Georgia; he was the son of the late Jack H. Cantrell, Sr. and the late Emma Blair Cantrell. Mr. Cantrell was a maintenance mechanic with Lockheed until his retirement after 43 years of service. He was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church and loved to work at the church and volunteer in any way he could. He enjoyed fishing, camping, hunting, and gardening; later in life, he began raising cattle and tending to his farm. Mr. Cantrell loved his friends and family and will be missed by those who knew him. Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Shirley Newton Cantrell; his sons, Shane and Kathy Cantrell, Shannon and Laura Cantrell; his grandchildren, Justin and Savannah Cantrell, Jordan (Cantrell) and Landon Brazinski; his great grandchild, Gavin Cantrell; his sister, Pat Jones; his brother, Lee and Wanda Cantrell; brother-in-law, Michael and Vicki Newton; sister-in-law, Sandra Phillips; nieces and nephews, Sarah Cantrell, Cody Cantrell, Tyler Cantrell, Michael Jones, Michelle Jones, Angie Griffin, Brandi Whitaker, Kanessa Limardo, Matthew Newton, Michael Newton, and Brett Phillips. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 27, 2021 in the chapel of Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services with Reverend Tommy Harris and Greg Patterson officiating. Burial will follow in Macedonia Baptist Church Cemetery in Kingston. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. on Friday, March 26, 2020 at the funeral home.
