Judith Prather

Judith Prather,78, of Cartersville passed away on Thursday, December 5, 2019 at Tranquility at Kennesaw Mountain of Marietta. Born in Cartersville on July 18, 1941 she was the daughter of the late Charles Brookshire and the late Evelyn Crowe Jones. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Riley Prather; her daughter, Lisa Waits; and her sister, Frances Jones. Judith was a member of Tabernacle Baptist Church. She not only loved her church but she loved the Lord. She lived her testimony and her faith in the way that she loved like Jesus did. Her integrity and strength were absolutely incredible, which she passed down to her children, and grandchildren. Survivors include her daughter, Amy Lamm; her grandchildren, Nicole Price (Richard), Michael Greenway, Megan Irons (Austin), and Matthew Lamm; her great-grandchildren, Aidan Price, Riley Price, Benjamin Greenway, Emma Greenway, Kate Greenway, and Ezra Irons (on the way), and several nieces, cousins, and precious extended family. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. on Monday, December 9, 2019 at Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services. Judith will lie in state from 1:00 p.m. -2:00 p.m. at Tabernacle Baptist Church. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 10, 2019 at Tabernacle Baptist Church with Reverend Mark Bagnell officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memory Gardens. Serving as pallbearers will be Austin Irons, Keith Irons, Richard Price, Richard Lunk, Patrick Swords, Jamie Lamm and Steve Beck.
