Phillip Craig Allen, 40, of Cartersville passed away on Tuesday, February 4, 2020 at his residence. Born in Kennesaw on April 22, 1979 he was the son of Michael Allen and the late Connie Fossett Allen. He was also preceded in death by his grandparents, Herman Allen, Lavern Cook, Billy Fossett, and Mike Tyree. Phillip was a handyman who loved to tinker with things. He enjoyed fishing and hunting and just being outdoors. He also loved making people laugh. Survivors include his father and step-mother, Michael & Wendy Allen; his daughter, Brooklynn Allen; his sister, Kacey Strickland (Randall); his step-sister, Courtney Rediger; his grandmother, Mary Tyree; his fiancée, Tira Harris; his aunts, Penny Davis (Dennis), Pam Stephens (Haley), and Vicki Reed; his uncle, Steven Tyree (Athena); his nieces, Madison Strickland, and Emma Strickland, and several cousins and extended family and friends. Funeral services will be held on Saturday February 8, 2020 at 3:00 p.m. in the chapel of Parnick Jennings Funeral Home with Reverend Doug Vernon officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday February 8, 2020 from 1:00 – 2:30 p.m. Serving as pall bearers will be Randall Strickland, Alan Reed, Steven Tyree, Dennis Davis, Haley Stephens, and Mike Allen.
