Mr. Ronald George Hammontree, 77, of Ellijay, passed on Thursday, December 12, 2019 at Cartersville Center in Cartersville. Born October 29, 1942, he was the son of the late Robert Hammontree and Willonelle Hammontree. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters Benny Pruitt and Bobby Lynn Yancey; his brothers Norman and Myron Hammontree; and his grandson Joey. Survivors include his sons Howard Hammontree and George Ronald Hammontree; his daughters Lisa Grunwald, Stephanie Mataic, and Kimberly Hammontree; his Grandchilden Eddie, Jess, Aaron, Sasha, Christopher, Heidi, Emily, Douglas, Tony, Billy Ray, Michael and Ronnie; and his sister Wanelle Helton. Ronald was a good hearted, loving and honest man. He loved and praised his family. He was an adventurous man, lived life to its fullest and loved to travel.
