Mr. Thomas Jackson “Jack” Worley, 87 of Cartersville passed away on Tuesday, July 2, 2019 at Cartersville Medical Center. Born in Calhoun, Georgia on January 5, 1932 he was the son of the late Grady Worley and the late Alma Perry Worley. In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by his wife, Vera Jones Worley; five brothers; and one sister. Mr. Worley served his country in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War and later in the Naval Reserves. He went on to be employed by Southern Bell until his retirement. He had a passion for gardening, but the center of his life was his love for the Lord. He loved the Lord with all his heart and served as a former Deacon at Gilmer Street Baptist Church, and later retired as a Deacon at Atco Baptist Church. Survivors include his children, Melanie Toler (Trey), Melissa Walker (George), Daniel Worley (Donna), and Mandy Forsyth; ten grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, July 5, 2019 at Atco Baptist Church with Reverend Doug Harris officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends from 12:00 p.m. – 1:30 p.m. at Atco Baptist Church on Friday prior to the service. Serving as pallbearers will be Dustin Barrett, Wesley Barrett, John Bearden, Nathan Walker, Andrew Toler, Austin Toler, Nicolas Forsyth.
