Mr. Joel Flowers, 72, of Cartersville, died Wednesday, October 07, 2015 at his residence. A native of Bartow County, born September 17, 1943, he was the son of the late Edgar E. Flowers and Gladys Trantham. Survivors include his wife, Fredda Irwin Flowers; his son, Andy Flowers and wife, Stacey ; his daughter, Becky Pruitt; grandchildren, Jordan, Sydney, Avery and Ansley Flowers, Maggie and Marly Pruitt; his brother, Milton Flowers; his sisters, Martha Graves and Mary Kate and Rodney Sweat; along with his brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Frank and Karen (Ceil) Perkins, Mary and Ron Lee and Janie Irwin. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brothers, John and Ed Flowers; his sister-in-law, Shirley Flowers; and brother-in-law, Sam Irwin. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, October 10, 2015 in the chapel of Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family to help with funeral expenses.
