Wilson Eugene Ray

Wilson “Gene” Ray, 66, of Adairsville passed away on Tuesday, September 3, 2019 at Kindred Hospital in Rome. Born in Cartersville on May 11, 1953; Gene loved to fish, play horseshoes, watch old movies, and listen to Elvis. He was the son of the late Wilson Devas Ray and the late Mary Bohannon Ray. Survivors include his sister, Doris Turner of Marietta; his brothers, Danny Ray of Adairsville, and Jerry (Norma) Ray of Adairsville; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 7, 2019 at Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services with Reverend Robert Ray officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. on Friday, September 6, 2019 at the funeral home.
