Addie Lene Brock Segers, age 83 of Baldwin, passed away Wednesday, June 18, 2014, at the Oaks at Scenic View. Born in Banks County on September 16, 1930, she was a daughter of the late John and Fannie Higgins Brock. Mrs. Segers was retired from the Banks County School System, where she worked in the lunchroom and she was a member of Mountain View Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Nesbit “Pop” Segers; sons, Melvin Smith and Jerry Segers; son-in-law, Rev. Garry Garrison; three brothers and three sisters. Mrs. Segers was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Survivors include daughter, Diane Garrison of Alto; sons, Milton Smith of Alto; son and daughter-in-law, Jimmy & Deborah Sigers of Cumming; daughter-in-law, Sharon Segers of Cornelia; grandchildren, Graham Garrison, Amanda Poole, Zackary Smith, and Shelly Tallent. Funeral services are 2:00 pm Friday, June 20, 2014, at the Chapel of McGahee-Griffin & Stewart with Rev. Kenneth McEntire officiating. Interment will follow in Mountain View Baptist Church Cemetery.
