Alice Gwynell "Gwyn" Wilson Watkins Obituary

Gwyn Wilson Watkins, age 77 of Alto, passed away on Saturday, September 9, 2017. Born in Habersham County, Georgia on December 10, 1939, she was a daughter of the late Elijah & Cora Mae Gerrin Wilson. Mrs. Watkins was the owner and operator of Soque Slaughter & Processing. She enjoyed cooking and fishing and was a member of Grace Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Anderson John “Andy” Watkins; grandchild, Clinton Swenson; daughter-in-law, Susan Watkins. Surviving are her son Wesley Watkins of Greenville, Tennessee; daughter and son-in-law, Angel & Joseph Timmons of Alto; grandchild, Kathy Ingram; great grandchildren, Jada & Devin Ingram; sister and brother-in-law, Annie & James King of Alto. Funeral services are scheduled for 11 a.m., Wednesday, September 13, 2017 at Grace Baptist Church with Rev. Phillip Yarber and Rev. Dalton Cranford officiating. Interment will follow in Level Grove Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm on Tuesday at the funeral home.
