Ann Anderson Grier

ANN ANDERSON GRIER, age 63 of Clermont, Georgia went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, April 19, 2015 at her residence surrounded by her family. Ann was born a coal miner’s daughter in Big Stone Gap, Virginia on March 26, 1952. She served in the healthcare industry for over 40 years, working as a Registered Nurse with Northeast Georgia Medical Center, Tugaloo Home Health Agency, and finished her career as a hospice nurse with Pruitt Hospice in December of 2014. In her spare time, Ann enjoyed entertaining company in her home, cooking, shopping, traveling, good gospel singing, and most of all spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She was a loving daughter, wife, mother, and friend who will be missed tremendously. Mrs. Grier was of the Christian faith. Ann was preceded in death by her parents, Curtis & Mildred Sloan Anderson as well as two brothers. Survivors include her husband of 27 years, Andy Grier, Clermont, GA; daughter, Megan Grier, Clermont, GA; daughter & son-in-law, Amanda & Shane Grier, Alto, GA; son & daughter-in-law, Ryan & Crystal Grier, Cleveland, GA; son, Andrew Jason Grier; brother & sister-in-law, Rosco & Ruby Anderson, Big Stone Gap, VA; 11 grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, & a host of friends. A celebration of life service will be held at later date.
