Annette Tench

Annette Sosebee Tench, age 77 of Clarkesville, passed away Friday, December 28, 2012, at Habersham County Medical Center. Born in Habersham County on March 22, 1935, she was a daughter of the late Ernest and Ione Gastley Sosebee. Mrs. Tench was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church and was retired from HEMC with 52 years of service. She enjoyed sports, especially basketball and was an avid Atlanta Braves fan. She also enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Tench was also preceded in death by her husband, Clyde C. Tench; brothers, Dewey and Jim Sosebee; sisters, Evelyn Tanklsey and Grace Burton. Survivors include son, Greg Tench of Clarkesville; daughters and sons-in-law, Lynn and Sammy Tallent of Clarkesville and Laura and Gerald Johnson of Demorest; brothers, Charles Sosebee of Lake Villa, Illinois and Tony Sosebee of Clarkesville; sisters, Christine Spivey of Clarkesville and Gail Kastner of Powder Springs; grandchildren, Mandy Wheeler and husband Andy of Maysville, Kellie Wilson and husband T.J. of Mt. Airy and Chelsea Tench of Athens. Funeral services are 2:00 pm Monday, December 31, 2012, at the Chapel of McGahee-Griffin & Stewart with Rev. Kenneth McEntire officiating. Interment will follow in Bethlehem Baptist Church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5-9 pm on Sunday. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the American Heart Association, American Heart Association, PO Box 840692 Dallas TX 75284-0692 or to the Alzheimer’s Association, Georgia Chapter, 855 Abutment Road, Suite 6, Dalton, GA 30721.
