Barbara Allen Williams, age 69 of Clarkesville, passed away Sunday May 11, 2014, at Emory University Hospital. Born in Habersham County on September 25, 1944, she was the daughter of Waring Allen and Addie Franklin Allen. Mrs. Williams was a retired Machine Operator from Piedmont Automotive and attended Mud Creek Baptist Church. In her spare time, she enjoyed shopping, sewing, and gardening. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Charles Williams. Surviving are daughter and son-in-law, Wanda & Darrell Sims of Clarkesville; daughter, Lisa Welch of Clarkesville; son and daughter-in-law, Greg & Christy Williams of Clarkesville; six grandchildren and one great grandchild; brother, Grady Allen of Mt. Airy; sisters, Alpha Jane Evans and Jessie Dill both of Mt. Airy, Oma Lee Smith and Mary Smith both of Carnesville, and Sarah Lewallen of Lula. Funeral services are 11:00 am Tuesday, May 13, 2014, at Mud Creek Baptist Church with Rev. Ray Turpin officiating. Interment will follow in Hills Crossing Baptist Church Cemetery.
