Betty Lou Croy Obituary

Betty Lou Croy, age 73 of Cornelia, passed away Wednesday, April 30, 2014, at Northeast Georgia Medical Center. Born on August 09, 1940, in White County, she was a daughter of the late William Worth Arrowood and Mary Lee Eller Arrowood. Mrs. Croy was a poultry worker with Fieldale Farms and a member of The Torch Worship Center. She also attended Bethesda Fellowship Congregational Holiness Church and enjoyed fishing, camping, watching old movies, and spending time with children and grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Oliver Croy; sister, Iva Lee Pilgrim; brothers, Leon, Bobby, and William “Bud” Arrowood; granddaughter, Esmeralda Lopez. Surviving are son and daughter-in-law, Tommy Armour & Esperanza Lopez Armour of Flowery Branch; daughters and sons-in-law, Betty Jean Ward & Donald Ray Ward of Cornelia and Betty Ann Swing & William Cicero Swing, IV of Carnesville; sisters, Linda Morris of Cornelia, Lou Watson of Dalton, and Gracie Mae Powell of Flowery Branch; brothers, Harvey Joe Arrowood of Toccoa and Charles Arrowood of Cleveland; five grandsons and four granddaughters; four great granddaughters and four great grandsons. Funeral services are 2:00 pm Thursday, May 1, 2014, from the Chapel of McGahee-Griffin & Stewart with Rev. Terry Benfield and Rev. Clarence Reynolds officiating.
