Billy Joe “Bill” Westbrook, age 77, of Baldwin, GA, passed away Wednesday, February 9, 2011 at Habersham County Medical Center. Born on May 4, 1933, in Banks County, he was the son of Bernice Osborne Westbrook and the late John Rueben Westbrook.Mr. Westbrook was a member of Baldwin Baptist Church and was an automobile detailer.In addition to his father he was also preceded in death by a grandson, Jonathan Anthony Dalton; brothers, Dillard and George Westbrook. Survivors include loving wife of 60 years, Francine White Westbrook of the home; daughter and son-in-law, Loretta and Anthony Dalton of Baldwin; son and daughter-in-law, Larry and Carol Westbrook of Marietta; mother, Bernice Osborne Westbrook of Cornelia; brothers, Kenneth Westbrook of Cornelia, Oliver Westbrook of Clarkesville and Dean Westbrook of Alto; sisters, Ruby Crunkleton of Toccoa, Mary Ann Hill of Cornelia, Lois Wood of Clarkesville, Bonnie Cody of Cornelia and June Williams of Martin; granddaughter and husband, Jessica and Josh Herrin of Cornelia. Funeral services will be held at 4:00 pm Friday, February 11, 2011 at the Chapel of McGahee-Griffin & Stewart with Rev. Scott Brown, David Terrell and Larry Westbrook officiating.Interment will follow in Yonah Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 2-4 & 6-8 pm on Thursday.
