Brenda Joyce Stephens Bullock, age 78, of Alto, passed away on Tuesday, December 3, 2019. Born on July 30, 1941, in Charlotte, North Carolina, she was a daughter of the late Arthur Alexander and Margaret Maynard Ball Stephens. Mrs. Bullock was a homemaker and member of Bethlehem Baptist Church in Lula. She enjoyed attending church, listening to gospel music, gardening, especially flowers, and eating at Longhorns. Mrs. Bullock loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Jimmie Darrell Bullock; daughter-in-law, Delinda Ann Bullock; and sisters: Shirley McGehee, Juanita Pless, and Mary Strickland. Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, David and Wanda Bullock of Lula; daughter and son-in-law, Melissa Alene Savage and Earl of Alto; grandchildren: Ryan Avery Bullock of Lula, Ashley Kate Bullock of Commerce, Logan Foster of Alto, and Dakota Savage of Alto; great-grandchild, Amaricas Alvarez; and sisters: Catherine Garrison of Pittsburg, PA, Barbara Poole of Lula, Betty Ann Irvin of Lula, and Margaret Orr of Palatka, FL. Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 pm on Friday, December 6, 2019, in the Chapel of McGahee-Griffin & Stewart Funeral Home, with Rev. Mark Stroud officiating. Interment will follow in Bethlehem Baptist Church Cemetery in Lula. The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm on Thursday, December 5, 2019, at the funeral home.
