Carvin Thomas “C.T.” Wright, age 91 of Alto, GA, passed away Wednesday, March 30, 2011, at The Oaks at Limestone, following a brief illness. He was the son of the late Vallie Jane Patton and William Luther Wright.Mr. Wright was a native and life long resident of Habersham County. He was a member of Enon Baptist Church where he served faithfully as a deacon. He was retired as a commercial electrician and was a member of I.B.E.W. # 613. Mr. Wright was a veteran of the United States Navy having served his country during World War II. In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by his wife Lucy Mae Kimsey Wright; son, Wilburn Wright and grandson, Kevin Wright. Surviving are his daughter, Nadine Thomas (Paul) of Jacksonville FL; sons, James Wright of Linthicum MD, Bruce Wright (Kathy) of Clayton GA, Weldon Wright (Karen) of Alto, Tommy Wright (Suzanne) of Toccoa; sisters, Floyce Mallory of Cornelia, Lucille Rudeseal of Cornelia, Reba Barry of Milton FL; brother, Vermon Wright of Cornelia; 9 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, 7 great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 pm on Sunday, April 03, 2011 at Enon Baptist Church with Rev. Loyd Martin, Rev. Lloyd Free and Charles Wright officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 2-4 & 6-8 pm on Saturday. Flowers are accepted or memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society in care of, Mount Vernon Mills Memorial Golf Tournament, P.O. Box 649, Alto, Ga 30510, please designate check in memory of C.T. Wright.
