Charles Larry Garrett

Charles Larry Garrett, age 68 of Cornelia, Georgia passed away on Friday, December 29, 2017. Born in Sitka, Kentucky on June 02, 1949, he was a son the late Ernest Garrett & the late Myrtis Ward Garrett. Charles was a retired co-owner of Garrett Trucking. He enjoyed traveling, cooking and loved his dog. Charles also enjoyed spending time with family and was of the Holiness faith. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his biological mother, Marjorie Palmer Rice Cole, son, Shannon Garrett, and a brother, James Aaron Garrett. Survivors include his daughter & son-in-law, Autumn Garrett Morris & Dwayne Morris, son & daughter-in-law, Matthew & Sarah Garrett all of Cornelia, GA; sister & brother-in-law, Carolyn & John Fox, brothers & sisters-in-law, Randy & Jennifer Garrett, Ernie & Saresa Garrett, Billy Rice all of Cornelia, GA; uncle, Buford Ward of Mt. Airy, GA; aunt, Agnes Moore of Young Harris, GA; niece & nephews, Allen Fox of Alto, GA; Spencer & Avery Garrett, Maddie & Hudson Garrett all of Cornelia, GA; Veronica Ann Keenan of Carrollton, TX; grandchildren, Tori Garrett, Reyna Marsengill, Breezi Morris, & Jesse Garrett; cousins, & many friends. Funeral services are scheduled for 4:00 p.m. Sunday, December 31, 2017 from the Chapel of McGahee-Griffin & Stewart Funeral Home with Pastor Kevin Mangum officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Saturday.
