David Michael Nelms, age 52, of Demorest, passed away Friday, May 15, 2015. Born on February 5, 1963, in Demorest, he was a son of Grover Lee Nelms and the late Hazel Lee Moore Nelms. Mr. Nelms was formerly employed with Sutton Service Center. In his spare time he enjoyed hunting, fishing, NASCAR and Le Mans Racing. Survivors include daughters, Crystal Lance (Kevin) of Homer, Shante Nelms of Cleveland and Naketa Nelms of Clarkesville; father and step-mother, Grover and Maggie Lee Nelms of Demorest; brother, Kenneth Nelms of Demorest; sisters, Linda Justus of Demorest, Carol Whisnant of Demorest and Betty Jo Groves of Alto; grandchildren, Jaden Ellis, Kiley Harkins, Payton Webb and Amberlynn Webb; several other relatives and friends.
