Deane Ferguson

Mrs. Deane Ellen Richard Ferguson, age 62 of Alto, passed away Thursday, July 18, 2013, at Northeast Georgia Medical Center. Born in Mobile, Alabama on September 18, 1950, she was a daughter of the late Douglas Mims (Doug) and Alla Darcey Richard. Mrs. Ferguson lived and was raised in the Atlanta area. After relocating to Norcross, she moved to Alto in 1997 with her husband, Lynn. She was retired from the medical billing and coding industry with 20 years of service. She also was the owner and operator of Mail Boxes Etc in Cornelia for 6 years and was employed with the Northeast Georgian’s advertising department before enjoying early retirement in 2005. Surviving are husband of 30 years, Charles Lynn Ferguson of Alto; daughter and son-in-law, Samantha Lynn & Scott Entrekin of Dallas; daughter, Bonnie Beckman of Nashville, TN; granddaughter and spouse, Amanda June & Jonathan McCombs of Cartersville, GA; grandchildren, William and Stephen Hagan both of Nashville, TN and Christine Kaufman of Marietta; sister and brother-in-law, Karen & Ret. Maj. Jim Jarvis of Barton, VT; niece and nephew, Erin & Paul. Mrs. Ferguson’s wishes were to be cremated and a memorial service will be held at a later date.
