Doris Burrell

Doris Elaine Tomlin Burrell, age 85, of Evans, Georgia formerly of Cornelia, passed away Monday, October 21, 2013 at Doctors Hospital in Augusta. Born on February 28, 1928, in Cleveland, Georgia, she was the daughter of the late John Benton and Clifford Emma Spencer Tomlin. Her primary careers were with the First National Bank of Cornelia and the North Georgia Vocational School. Her true passions were real estate investing and coin collecting. She also enjoyed traveling and visited many parts of the world. Reading was a true joy to her. Mrs. Burrell was a member of Level Grove Baptist Church as well as the VFW Ladies Auxillary. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Burrell was also preceded in death by her husband, Cleveland Victor Burrell and a granddaughter, Larisha Elise Beaver. Survivors include son, Benjamin Wesley Burrell of Savannah, Georgia; daughter and son-in-law, Sharon Burrell Beaver(Larry) of Evans, Georgia; granddaughter, Sharla Audrey Beaver. Funeral services are 11:00 am Friday, October 25, 2013, at the Chapel of McGahee-Griffin & Stewart with Rev. Brian James officiating. Interment will follow in VFW Memorial Park Cemetery.
