Doris Smith

Doris Hunnicutt Smith, age 77, of Toccoa, passed away on Friday, February 7, 2020. Born on July 22, 1942, in Habersham County, she was a daughter of the late Minor Marvin and Annie Pearl Nix Hunnicutt. Mrs. Smith loved fishing, hunting, and listening to her music. She was of the Baptist faith. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her sons, Paul Parker and Marvin Moore; daughter, Jean Parker; brothers: Mandle Hunnicutt, Horace Hunnicutt, Robert Hunnicutt and Clois Hunnicutt; and sister, Lucy Bowden. Survivors include her daughter, Shebra Parker Aldaco of Helen; daughter-in-law, Sandy Moore of Toccoa; stepdaughter, Ellen Collins; grandchildren: David Clark, Tyanna Jackson and husband, Chad, Stanley Tyler, Jr. and wife, Kim, Charlie Moore, Kandy Shook and husband, Zach, Cody Moore, and Dakota Moore; 19 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; brother, Malcolm Hunnicutt of Demorest; sisters, Brenda Broome of Commerce and Lois Martin of Clarkesville; niece, Martha Jean Richards; and special friend, Carlos Gazga. Funeral services are scheduled for 3:00 pm on Tuesday, February 11, 2020, in the Chapel of McGahee-Griffin & Stewart Funeral Home with Rev. John DuBois and Rev. Nathaniel DuBois officiating.
