Dorothy Louise “Dot” Ferguson Littleton, age 81 of Demorest, passed away Thursday, June 7, 2012, at her residence. Born in Demorest, GA on December 12, 1930, she was a daughter of the late Quinton Eugene and Etta Mae Spencer Ferguson. She was a homemaker, beloved mother, and a member of Antioch Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Sara Hallford, Betty Caudell, and Irene Shirley. Surviving are son and daughter-in-law, Lamar & Diane Littleton of Cumming; daughter and son-in-law, Donna & Dale Canup of Mt. Airy; brothers Rev. J. T. Ferguson of Buford and Frank Ferguson of Demorest; sisters, Mary Ferguson of Atlanta, Elaine Grubbs of Lilburn, Ella Arnold of Oakwood, and Evelyn Tarrant of The Villages, FL; grandson, Brad Canup; also surviving are numerous nieces and nephews and grand nieces and nephews. Funeral services are 2 pm Sunday, June 10, 2012 at the Chapel of McGahee-Griffin & Stewart Funeral Home with Rev. J. T. Ferguson and Pastor Royce Winters officiating. Interment will follow in Antioch Baptist Church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5-8 pm on Saturday. The family would like to thank Dr. Nancy Watson of Demorest for her kind and excellent care as Dot’s physician and friend for the past 18 years.
