DOYLE MILTON WHITE, SR. age 89 of the Rock Springs Community, Lula, Georgia went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, March 31, 2019. Born in Banks County, Georgia on January 07, 1930, he was a son of the late John & Myra Phillips White. Doyle served his country proudly in the United States Navy during the Korean Conflict. He enjoyed farming all his life. Doyle loved his family tremendously. He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend to many. Doyle was a faithful member of the Rock Springs Baptist Church where he also served as a deacon for many years. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brothers, J.L. White, Clarence “Buster” White, Jewell White, sisters, Annie Mae Smith & Ethelene Hooper. Survivors include his loving wife of 61 years, Brooksy Wright White of Lula, GA; sons & daughters-in-law, Doyle Milton, Jr. & Sherry White of Maysville, GA; Clinton & Kim White of Lula, GA; daughters & sons-in-law, Vickie & Terry Crocker of Lula, GA; Liz & Jim Winham of Gainesville, GA; sisters & brother-in-law, Francine Westbrook of Cornelia, GA; Joyce Shubert of Lula, GA; Betty Jo “B.J.” & Paul Tjepkema of Gainesville, GA; grandchildren, Rev. Josh & Shannon Crocker of Lula, GA; Justin & Tatiana Crocker of The Virgin Islands; Hannah & Tyler McEntire of Alto, GA; John Crocker of Gainesville, GA; Tarra & David Gray of Greenville, SC; Dylan Haney of Gainesville, GA; Olivia Bolton of Maysville, GA; great-grandchildren, Brooksy Crocker, Luke McEntire, Eleanor Crocker, & Josey Crocker on the way. Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Thursday, April 04, 2019 from the Rock Springs Baptist Church with Rev. Derek Howard, Rev. Kenneth McEntire, & Rev. David Harbin officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery with Rev. Josh Crocker officiating at the graveside. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 2:00 p.m. until 4 p.m. & 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
