Earl Armour

Earl Armour, age 65, of Lula, passed away Saturday, March 22, 2014 at his residence. Born on May 30, 1948 in Hall County, he was a son of the late Jiles Armour and Bonnie Brown Armour. Mr. Armour attended Bethesda Fellowship Congregational Holiness Church and was a retired transfer officer with Lee Arrendale State Prison. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, auctions and spending time with his grandchildren. In addition to his parents, Mr. Armour was also preceded in death by his sister, Omazell Parson; brothers, Luther, Larry, Glen, Ricky and Troy Armour. Survivors include wife, Lynda Jamerson Armour of Lula; daughter and son-in-law, Andria and Sinclair Smith of Newborn, GA; grandchildren, Haley, Landon and Mackenzie; brothers, N.C. Armour of Gainesville, Cecil Armour of Homer and Jimmy Armour of Alto; sisters, Ruby Simmons of Alto and Janice Armour of Cornelia. Funeral services are 2:00 pm Tuesday, March 25, 2014, at Bethesda Fellowship Congregational Holiness Church with Rev. Clarence Reynolds and Rev. Terry Benfield officiating. Interment will follow in Baldwin City Cemetery with Rev. John Graham officiating. The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm on Sunday and from 2-4 & 6-8 pm on Monday at the funeral home.
