Evelyn Marie “Granny” Ferguson Woodall, age 83 of Baldwin, passed away Monday, July 15, 2013. Born on November 25, 1929, in Habersham County, she was a daughter of the late Jack Bowden and Ollie Marie Miller Ferguson. Mrs. Woodall was a retired seamstress with Carwood Manufacturing and was a member of Baldwin Congregational Holiness Church. She was a lifelong resident of Habersham County and enjoyed shopping in her spare time. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Woodall was also preceded in death by her husband, James Clyde Woodall; sister, Bernice Ferguson Ivie; brothers, J.B. and Vernon “Bud” Ferguson. Survivors include daughter, Jackie DeFoor of Baldwin; grandchildren and spouses, Carla and Stacy Smith of Clarkesville, Chad and Lisa Eller of Germany; great grandchild and spouse, Robin and Andrew Morrow of Toccoa; great grandchild, Jana Eller of Germany; niece and husband, Linda and Grady Simmemon of Alto; great niece, Kim Dailey; great nephews, James and Ricky Simmemon; also numerous friends and family that affectionately knew Mrs. Woodall as “Granny.” Funeral services are 2:00 pm Wednesday, July 17, 2013, at the Chapel of McGahee-Griffin & Stewart with Rev. Sanford Kimbrell, Rev. Bill Trotter, Rev. Tony Royston and Rev. Kendall Mann officiating. Interment will follow in Yonah Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6-9 pm on Tuesday. An online guest register is available and may be viewed at www.mcgaheegriffinandstewart.com.
