Floyd Tomlin

Floyd Lee Tomlin, age 59, of Cornelia, passed away on Sunday, October 27, 2019. Born on August 20, 1960, in Atlanta, he was a son of the late Amos and Florence Cunningham Tomlin. Mr. Tomlin was a member of BC Grant Baptist Church. He was employed with the City of Marietta for 19 years, then for Dockery Heating and Air for 10 years and more recently for Habersham Medical Center. He loved his grandkids, working on cars, and going to church. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife, Sherrie Diana Barnes Tomlin and sister, Judy Tomlin. Survivors include his stepsons and their spouses, Dannelle and Nancy Barnes of Clarkesville and Bronson and Alexandria Davis of Cleveland; daughters, Scarlette Elaine Tomlin and Rebecca Nicole Tomlin, both of Cornelia; grandchildren, Joseph Tomlin and Levi Tomlin; brothers: Larry Tomlin of Alabama, Willie Tomlin of Georgia, and Robert Tomlin of Alabama; and sister, Shirley Reel of Alabama. Funeral services are scheduled for 3:00 pm on Wednesday, October 30, 2019, in the Chapel of McGahee-Griffin & Stewart Funeral Home with Rev. Daniel Parker officiating. Interment will follow in Yonah Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 pm on Tuesday, October 29, 2019, and from 10 am to 2 pm prior to the service on Wednesday at the funeral home.
