Gail Moses Hyatt age 101 of Homer, passed away on Thursday, May 9, 2019. Born in Elizabeth, New Jersey on March 26, 1918 to the late Adolf and Anna Wellert. Mrs. Hyatt lost her parents at a very young age and was adopted and raised by the Moses family from Elizabeth, New Jersey. She was an insurance processor with the Veteran’s Administration with over 20 years of service. Mrs. Hyatt enjoyed traveling in the RV with her late husband, playing card games, cooking as well as eating especially chocolate, socializing, spending time with her family and church family. She loved Jesus and was a member of Charity Baptist Church. In addition to her parents and adoptive parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Stanley George Hyatt; sons, Timothy Allen Hyatt and Larrie Hyatt. Surviving are her daughter-in-law, Charlotte Hyatt of Washoe Valley, Nevada; grandchildren, Jeffrey Aaron Hyatt, April Ann Hyatt and Stuart Stanley Hyatt; great grandchild, Aaron Scott Hyatt; nephew and special caregiver for many years, Jon Hyatt of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; niece, Nancy Jackson of Elwood, New Jersey; several other nieces, nephews, family and friends. Funeral services are scheduled for 5 pm, Saturday, May 11, 2019 at Charity Baptist Church with Rev. Scott Smith and Rev. Billy Burrell officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery with Kevin Purcell officiating. The family will receive friends from 4 pm until the service hour on Saturday at the church. Flowers are accepted or memorials may be made to Charity Baptist Church, 1302 Highway 51 N, Homer, GA 30547.
