<p>Glyness “Mumpy” June Abernathy Neal, age 75 of Mt. Airy, passed away Sunday, December 13, 2015. </p><p>Born in Robertstown, Georgia on May 14, 1940, she was a daughter of the late Frank and Rosalie Clark Abernathy. Mrs. Neal was a member of Glade Creek Baptist Church and was a homemaker. She was the neighborhood babysitter who kept many of the community children.</p><p>In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Estel Neal; son, Lloyd Neal; sisters, Maxine Latty, Eunice Bagley and Connie Palmer.</p><p>Surviving are daughters, Terrie Allison (Conrad) of Cleveland and Deanna Neal-Dwyre (Robert) of Lula; grandchildren, Amanda Groover of Flowery Branch, Erin Kahle of Anchorage, Alaska and Tracie Allison of Cleveland; numerous nieces and nephews.</p><p>Funeral services are 2 pm Wednesday, December 16, 2015, at Glade Creek Baptist Church with Rev. Michael Justus officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. </p><p>The family will receive friends from 2-4 &amp; 6-8 pm on Tuesday at the funeral home.</p><p>Flowers are accepted or donations may be made, in memory of Glyness Neal, to Glade Creek Baptist Church, 884 Toccoa Highway, Mt. Glyness “Mumpy” June Abernathy Neal, age 75 of Mt. Airy, passed away Sunday, December 13, 2015.
