Iva Lee Arrowood Pilgrim, age 76 of Cleveland, passed away Thursday, March 21, 2013, at her residence. Born on January 07, 1937 in Habersham County, she was a daughter of the late William Worth and Mary Lee Eller Arrowood. Mrs. Pilgrim was a homemaker, who enjoyed spending time with her family and was of the Holiness faith. She was always thinking of others and tried to feed everyone that came to see her In addition to her parents, Mrs. Pilgrim was also preceded in death by her husband, Daniel Andrew Pilgrim; brothers, Bud and Bobby Arrowood. Survivors include daughter and son-in-law, Brenda and Randy Porterfield of Demorest; sons and daughters-in-law, David and Vergie Pilgrim of Cornelia, Darryl and Regina Pilgrim of Cornelia and Wayne and Donna Pilgrim of Maysville; brothers, Leon Arrowood of Dahlonega, Harvey Arrowood of Cleveland and Charles Arrowood of Cleveland; sisters, Betty Croy of Cornelia, Linda Morris of Cornelia, Gracie Mae Murphy of Oakwood and Lou Watson of Dalton; 17 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren, one great-great grandchild and a number of nieces, nephews and friends. Funeral services are 11:00 am Saturday, March 23, 2013, at The Chapel of McGahee-Griffin & Stewart Funeral Home Rev. Bill Trotter, Rev. Kenneth Pilcher and Rev. Leon Arrowood officiating. Interment will follow in Alto Congregational Holiness Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 2-4 and 7-9 pm Friday.
