Jeffrey Davidson

Jeffrey L. Davidson, age 63, of Alto, passed away Thursday, October 27, 2011. Born in Banks County on November 29, 1947, he was the son of the late Roy Lester and Grace Lee Bonds Davidson. Mr. Davidson faithfully served his country in the United States Army as a parachute rigger during the Vietnam War. He was retired having been self-employed in construction and was a motorcycle enthusiast. In addition to his parents, Mr. Davidson was preceded in death by his brother, Lee Roy Davidson. Survivors include daughters and son-in-laws, Tonya and Michael Phillips of Athens, Krissie and Darius Butler of Villa Rica; daughter, Kaitlyn Walker of Fairburn; brother, Troy Davidson of Alto; grandchildren, Hayden and Clayton Phillips of Athens; niece and nephew Jordan and Shannon Davidson of Gainesville. Memorial services are 4:00 pm Sunday, October 30, 2011 at the Chapel of McGahee-Griffin and Stewart, with full military honors provided by Rabun County Disabled American Veterans Chapter #15, the Habersham County American Legion Post #84 and the Grant Reeves VFW Post #7720. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 2-4 on Sunday prior to the service. Flowers are accepted or memorials may be made to charity of one’s choice.
