Jo Beth Graham Lawson, age 77 of Cornelia, passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 25, 2012, at Habersham Medical Center. Born in Danielsville, GA on July 10, 1934, she was the daughter of the late Annie Lou Stribling Graham Irvin and the late Joseph Benjamin Graham. Mrs. Lawson attended Davis Academy and graduated from Commerce High School. After graduating high school she attended Mercer University. She was a member of Cornelia United Methodist Church. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her brother, John Franklin Irvin. Even though Jo Beth experienced health issues most of her adult life, she enjoyed many special relationships and was surrounded by loving friends and family. She enjoyed taking care of her family, flowers, baking bread and building homes with her husband, Wade. Survivors include loving and devoted husband of 57 years, Thomas Wade Lawson of Cornelia; daughter and son-in-law, Annaclair & Jim Kiger of Columbia, SC; sister, Billie Graham Herrin of Cornelia; special friend, Heather Burke Cody of Cornelia; many special cousins, nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Tuesday, March 27, 2012, at Cornelia United Methodist Church with Dr. Jay Hughes officiating. Interment will follow in Yonah Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 5-8 pm on Monday at the funeral home.
