Joy Eller

Joy F. Chase Eller, age 74 of Clarkesville, passed away Thursday, November 11, 2010, at NortheastGeorgiaMedicalCenter following a brief illness. Born in Los Angeles, California on August 03, 1936, she was the daughter of the late Clifford and Ruth Sabo Chase. Ms. Chase was retired from Habersham County School Systems as a substitute teacher, where she was affectionately known as “Miss Joy.” She was of the Methodist faith and in her spare time, she enjoyed art, singing and taking care of cats. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her brother, Clifford Chase, Jr. Surviving are daughter, Jeanie Eller Wheeler of Alto; sons, Rick Eller of Toccoa and D. Scott Eller of Clarkesville; grandchildren, Bradley C. Wheeler, Joanna Eller, Jonathan Eller, Jessica Eller, Natalie Smith, Noah Eller and Sadie Eller; great grandchildren, Francesca Eller, Brody Eller, Vada Abernathy and Lynthea Eller.
