Kathy Diane Parker Boswell

Kathy Diane Parker Boswell, age 66 of Cornelia, passed away on Saturday, January 2, 2021. Born in Miami, Florida on May 28, 1954, she was a daughter of the late James Dewey “J.D.” Parker and Cora Kathleen Leachman Parker. She loved everyone and was Mama D to everyone who knew her. Ms. Boswell was artistic and enjoyed painting, reading and talking about the Bible, feeding folks and giving advice. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jimmy Gene Graham; brother, Talmadge Sam Vandiver; sisters, Sarah Baxa and Frances Sistare. Surviving are her daughters and sons-in-law, Carrie & Jerry Pennino, Kimberly Pierce, Frances Graham and Tracy Boswell all of Cornelia, Tiffany & Jason Sellers of Mt. Airy, Ginger Emmett of Cleveland; 20 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; brother, Billy Parker of Maysville; several nieces, nephews, other family and friends. Funeral services are scheduled for 2 pm, Saturday, January 9, 2021 in the Chapel of McGahee-Griffin and Stewart with Rev. Kathy Nicholson officiating. Interment will follow at Welcome Home Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11 am until 1:30 pm prior to the service on Saturday at the funeral home. Those in attendance are asked to please adhere to the public health and social distancing guidelines regarding COVID-19.
